Pam has been in banking for 35 plus years. In Tallahassee she was with Capital City Bank as Asst. Head Bookkeeper, Assistant to Branch Manager, CSR for Data Processing and Customer Service Manager. While in Tallahassee was with The Dye Law Firm as Legal Assistant to the Senior Partner.
After moving to Ft. Walton Beach she was with Liberty Bank which later became Compass Bank as Customer Service Manager and Executive Assistant/Human Resource Manager to Eddie Mae Owens, Bank President. Eddie Mae has been a recipient of one of our chapters’ awards.
With First NW Florida Bank she was also Executive Asst., Resource Manager and Corporate Secretary.
She was a Business Account Executive with SunTrust Destin branch and was Branch Sales & Service Manager of the Ft. Walton Beach Branch twice.
At Wachovia/SouthTrust, she was Community Banker and Commercial Relationship Manager as well as Commercial Lender and Account Manager.
Pam is currently with Vanguard Bank and is Commercial Lender and Asst. Vice President.
Pam attended Okaloosa Walton Community College in Niceville. She attended American Institute of Banking and other classes and seminars where she learned about Data Processing, Accounting, Supervisor 101, IRAs and Keoghs, The Legal aspects of payroll management, Essentials of personnel and Human Resource Administration and she is a notary public.
Pam has been involved in many community activities and events. She is an active member of both the FWB Chamber and Destin Chamber and worked at several Destin Seafood Festival events.
She also volunteered to work for United Way’s “Day of Caring” almost every year with the local Chambers.
She is 2001 Graduate of Leadership Okaloosa. She served as a United Way Loaned Executive in 2001 & 2002.
She was 1992 Hospitality Chairperson for Emerald Coast Personnel Management Assn.
She served on Compass Bank’s employee committee for the distribution of charity funds
and headed employee fundraisers to benefit the March of Dimes, United Way, Leukemia and Cystic Fibrosis.
In 2007, she was a volunteer for the March of Dimes walk as well as being involved with the Eglin AFB Air show.
Pam has been active since she became a member of our Emerald Coast ABWA Chapter. She has served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, and is currently President Elect. She has been on several committees including Membership. She chaired the Grand Prize committee for 2 years. She has been active with our chapter BPR annual Boating Poker Run with goody bags, grand prizes packages and on the Steering Committee for the past 2 years. She has been dockworker and has kept busy at the Shalimar Yacht Club where the BPR participants end up after their day of boating.
Pam was born in Topeka, Kansas and raised in a military family. She has lived in Salina, Kansas, San Antonio, TX, Weisbaden, Germany, Pensacola, and Tallahassee. Fl.
While she was in Weisbaden, she was able to travel and camp all over Europe with her family. She got to climb on the Leaning Tower of Pisa, went underground in the Catacombs in Rome, stayed in the General Walker Hotel with a view of Hitler’s famous Eagles Nest, and camped at the base of Lake Interlaken, where the winter Olympics were once held.
She has been married to her husband, Rick for 33 years and they will celebrate their 34 anniversary on Mar. 2. They have one son, Jon Christian and 2 grandchildren, Kayla 9 and Mariana 3.
Pam has two sisters, one in Kentucky and one in Las Vegas. Her mom is deceased but her father has remarried and lives in Pensacola.
Pam recently adopted two dogs after having lost her older dog, Spike. Egypt is a chocolate lab mix
and Coco, is a teacup Chihuahua.
Pam’s hobbies are traveling, boating, playing volleyball, going
to movies, and really enjoys reading a good book.
